Model Municipality: A Reflection of Mokokchung Town as the Cleanest City in NE India

Covid-19 pandemic has taught us how essential cleanliness is. Mokokchung town being

awarded as the cleanest city in the Northeast under 25-50 thousand population by the
Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is no mean achievement. The credit for this
prestigious achievement goes to the people of Mokokchung in general and the municipal
body in particular. Can Mokokchung retain the same position in the days to come and be
the model city not only for the state but for the region & the nation? This will require a
concerted effort from all sections of people in the town. The talk will enlighten on the roles
and responsibilities of the people & the Municipal body in the state.
